Out of Time

Life comes crashing in like the winds of a storm.
Debris attacks us like good obligations.
A mountain of emotions begs us to feel.
Like an expensive Swiss watch, we have no time to be still.

Another errand beckoning.
Another frivolous plan.
Another reason to ignore.

Our hearts like old toys get put away.
Memories attack us like lost passions.
A loving savior begs us to live.
Like an old defective clock, we have no time to give.
